Marathon's warranty is void if modifications have been made to the body after sale. Modifications performed by Marathon are warranted under this statement. For the remainder of the warranty period. In all cases potential warranty repairs must be authorized in advance prior to the completion of any repair by Marathon in order to have consideration under Marathon’s warranty policy. Any repairs made to a Marathon body anywhere other than at a Marathon location or Marathon approved location will not be covered by warranty. Damage caused by abuse, accident, abnormal exposure to weather or water, and/or misuse (including over loading and unsecured loading) is not covered under warranty. Damage caused by failure to conduct normal routine maintenance to wood, steel and/or aluminum parts and surfaces will invalidate any consideration for warranty.
Other than maintenance obvious to the average user, all wood surfaces should be sealed at least every 4 months, rusting due to normal wear and tear should be sanded and painted, and screws and bolts should be inspected and tightened at every routine maintenance service (including “U” bolts located under body, securing body to chassis to a minimum of 55 LB FT.) Marathon’s warranty excludes damage to any cargo, personal property or any other materials within the body at any time.
Under no circumstances does (or will) Marathon assume any responsibility for loss of use of a vehicle or user down time while vehicle is being repaired or not being used. All repairs must be approved in advance and in writing by Marathon in order to be considered under warranty. Repairs not approved in advance will not be covered. Marathon does not accept responsibility for any warranty statements made by anyone other than the statement of policy outlined herein.
